So I am getting on an airplane on Friday and I figured it was time to give you guys an updated routine on how to prepare your face for the flight! My skin never agrees with me when I travel more than 3 hours away from my house so add in a flight and i’m just a mess. From Dry skin to unexpected pimples it’s hard to cover with foundation, So if I can save face before these problems arise then I am a happy camper! If you have any tricks that you swear by let me know because I am always looking for something new! Let’s get started!
THE NIGHT BEFORE:
Use an over night mask that kind of absorbs while you sleep to give you refreshed moisturized skin when you wake up. Honestly there is never a thing as too much moisture before you get on a plane. I would use this after you wash your face and apply your own moisturizer. Once your moisturizer has been absorbed by your skin apply a heavy amount of this.
My tip for this eye cream is to place this bottle in the freezer for about 5 minutes. This helps with the puffiness and reducing redness. It also feels so good with that cold compressed against your under eye. Then apply the eye cream and go to sleep. You’re face will be so hydrated when you wake up!
THE MORNING OF:
Jart Water Replenishment Cotton Sheet Mask $7.50- I would use this first thing in the morning when you wake up. You might think this is over doing it but I promise you’re skin will thank you when you go on that airplane. I love this face mask because I can run around and scare my children. Also, its amazing for your skin.
ON THE FLIGHT ESSENTIALS:
Tatcha Luminious Dewy Skin Mist $20.00– I would suggest getting the travel size version of this because you definitely don’t want TSA throwing away your Tatcha! I would spray this every 30 minutes during your flight. It just moisturizes and keeps your face from getting overly puffy from the altitude.
My other tips would just be to wear little makeup. Just small amounts, avoiding heavy makeup at all costs. Also make sure you bring your cleansing wipes because you always need to sanitize your surroundings! Let me know if you try this and if it works for you.
